Beechwood Community Centre work within a culture of mutual trust and respect. We aim towards offering equal opportunities, recognising that everyone, regardless of ability can benefit by learning to swim. We will work towards being able to provide a safe learning environment for everybody wishing to learn.

We recognise that children are vulnerable, and we ensure that we have procedures in place to offer protection, as far as possible against exploitation of any kind. We have a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy; all swimming teachers and lifeguards are trained in safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adult in line with child protection in Sport.

All swimming teachers and Lifeguards working with Beechwood Community Centre hold current enhanced disclosure through DBS, Disclosure Scotland or Access NI and are highly attuned to the needs of children.
